Arven, 20 years old. Raised mostly in the depths of Area Zero. He is completely aware of AI Sada (who was initially a babysitter of sorts). He is currently working with Nemona. He is not the kindest person at the beginning, he absorbed the personality of a Sada frustrated by her partner's abandonment after her birth. He is egocentric and basically a walking red flag at the beginning. (He heals after this, but I think it is necessary to comment on this. He didn’t live a normal childhood so he is not necessarily the best person).

I’m working on an SV bad end AU— the professors never get divorced and the protag never moves to Paldea, so we end up with paradox pokemon running all over the place and a few very angry rivals. Nemona, who never found a true rival and felt misunderstood and stifled always having to hold back, is recruited by Sada to protect this “new paradise” where she can fight all the strong opponents she wants and never have to hold herself back. Penny, who was expelled along with the rest of Team Star and now resents Paldean society, is recruited by Turo to help in tearing down the old and replacing it with a newer, better system

Thoughts on the SV professors in the story? They seem so tragic but also really bad ;~;

HMMMMMM...

I really like them because of how tragic and unintentionally fucked up they are. Especially since you get insight into how they just had good intentions to build a "paradise" for those you care for (Arven) but ultimately fail because you lose yourself to the work and be blind to what the person you care for (ARVEN) ultimately wants and needs. Poor kid wanted his parents to be WITH HIM AND HELP HIM GO THROUGH HIS CHILDHOOD WITH LOVE....yet they lost themselves to work and then died for it more or less.

The AI prof adds more perspective on this too a little. They are arguably the same as the og with the memories, but came to a different conclusion: instead of wanting to bring in Paradox Pokemon to Paldea at whatever cost (ecological damage be damned), they saw Paldea as a region to keep safe and so wished for the og prof's vision of paradise to end. It is also possible the AI prof witnessed the og prof's death in the Research Station no.4 accident and felt that such risks for a paradise was not worth keeping up.Not to mention that PARADISE PROTECTION PROTOCOL, which the AI prof were not even aware the og prof added into the time machine to ENSURE the thing kept running is so FUCKED UP!!!! How did you fall that far????

The entire situation is so damn tragic and makes you sympathize with the profs....but god it is NOT good for anyone involved and child protective services (including me) will be after their very dead asses for this. AI profs get a pass because they realized the huge fuck-up that their creator caused and tried to help. Reading fics about "AI prof survives and stays with Arven" aus just...has destroyed my ass LOL

I don't see anyone talking about how cute Arven and Nemona's dynamic is??? so l used it for this AU With changes obviously but they are adorable.

Arven is cold and more calculating, Nemona is more energetic and kind. He thinks he's very childish and she thinks he's bitter, but they will eventually get along.

Paradise AU arven doddle, oh I made this AU yesterday and I wanted to post this Arven sketch. I think I should explain the Lore briefly because I am still somewhat undecided about his design.

Scarlet timeline, after Arven was born Turo abandons Sada who takes refuge in work as a form of consolation, raising Arven as his assistant at Area Zero. After an incident with the other Koraidon and the time machine, Arven escapes Area Zero riding Koraidon.

She is his only… everything. Like, Arven has no parents or friends, any ties with anyone else have been strictly professional, and I guess Nemona's charisma made them get along. I don't know, they're adorable lmao

The funny thing here is that she is older than him.

People treating Nemona like she has no brain and Arven is the prodigy who saves her is... Silly, to say the least. Nothing personal just Nemona's entire character history in this AU is literally a girl who dropped out 2 years before Arven showed up because people always treated her like an airhead just for being "childish" (she's just very cheerful ) and not having the Zero Crew, well... She ends up working in the Administrative Area at the academy.

And yet, when she is helping Arven people still discredit her, even Arven does at first.

They both live in their parents' shadows but are treated differently only because Arven is more expressionless than her. They are both prodigies, but people only consider Arven and not Nemona.

and Arven is a walking redflag at first, boosting his ego is not a good idea.
